Well, to me, EVERY day is Book Lovers’ Day. But, in the US, confusingly enough, August 9th and sometimes the first Saturday in November are considered Book Lover’s Day. November makes a bit of sense because it is also NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writer’s Month!

The origins of the Book Lover’s Day(s) though are unclear. But hey, why would that stop you? Or me?

In that spirit, I plan to go roam about a bookstore tonight. Meanwhile, here is what I am reading, pictured above. I am only in about 1/6th but I love it so far, as you can see from all the sticky notes piling up!

Books, most of them, enlighten us and change us, one way or the other. Go take a few minutes, read something, buy a book or two – support a local bookstore (or a nation one, they are all in trouble in the US)…
